THE TRAM STOPS
The first section of tram line opened in May 2014 has Stops situated at:-
A platform foundation has been laid for the eventual development of the land between the Depot Ingliston P & R and Edinburgh Airport. For details of early proposals.

West End - Princes Street (originally named Shandwick Place)
West End - Princes Street is sometimes a temporary terminus stop when special events take place on Princes Street. For details click here.
* International Business Gateway is a proposal for a multi use site near to Edinburgh Airport, bordering Eastfield Road, Gogar Depot, Gogarburn, A8 and the Airport.
** The maintenance depot and the tram stabling sidings are situated at Gogar. The depot building has the control centre for the complete system.
*** The Edinburgh Intermodal Gateway Station was a latter addition to the plans for this line and opened for service on 11th December 2016 as Edinburgh Gateway. It was a Network Rail Scotland project funded by Transport Scotland on behalf of the Scottish Government. This part of the construction was managed by Network Rail Scotland who are the ultimate clients. This station, provides a link for passengers from and to the Fife line and North East Scotland to the Tram Network. Passengers can change here and travel to the airport within five minutes.
**** Edinburgh Park Station serves the Edinburgh to Glasgow lines. It was officially opened by the then First Minister, Jack McConnell MSP, on 8th December 2003.

THE TRAM STOPS & EQUIPMENT
All the tram stops should have ticket purchase facilities. Seperate equipment is available for season and entitlement cards. Security is provided both on and off the trams with CCTV and a customer services operative will be stationed on the tram along with the driver. A panic alarm is available at the stops. A dot matrix display is on show at all stops indicating times of departure and other relevant messages. A timetable should be visible on the side of the shelter. Seating, canopy shelter, litter buckets, and other furniture are situated at certain stops.
